Kasey Hawkins with a Shelby Mustang by Chromalusion Photography"I still struggle with make-up and high heels" Kasey Hawkins tells ShockerRacing.  Growing up, Kasey was a big tomboy.  Her grandfather used to race before Nascar was around. A lot of his need for speed trickled down to her dad and then was passed on to her.  In 2009, she enlisted in the National Guard as a 91b wheel vehicle mechanic.  A short time ago, Kasey joined Chromalusion Photography at a WannaGoFast Half Mile Racing event and traded in her wrenches for a pair of Shocker Racing Bootyshorts.  Kasey was paired up with William Garrett Davis' Shelby and she looks right at home in those heels!

Nicole Bannasch and Morgan VanWinkle for ShockerRacingGirls"How do you feel about photos with the American flag?" Tyler Sorget messaged us last week as he was editing the pics from this shoot.  We knew that Tyler was shooting a pair of models in Michigan with his 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, and couldn't think of anything more "Merica" as we are preparing to celebrate America's Independence.  Tyler invited models and friends, Nicole and Morgan out to shoot with his Stang.  The weather wasn't cooperating on the day of the shoot and it forced them to shoot in Tyler's shop.

It has been about 10 years since the ShockerRacingGirls began to form into this nationwide phenomenon that it is today.  Back in 2006, we started partnering with photographers, like Chromalusion Photography, from all over the country and having them shoot in our now famous ShockerRacing bootyshorts.  It wasn't until 2012 that we actually began incorporating a full featured article and actually getting to know more about the photographers, car owners, and of course the models.  Over the past four years we have had the please of getting to feature some amazing ladies but these eight articles have proven to be fan favorites.

Karissa Davis for ShockerRacingGirls in a photoshoot by McNeile PhotographyBack in April, we were contacted by Rusty from McNeile Photography regarding an upcoming photoshoot he had scheduled with Karissa Davis in Tampa Bay, FL.  ShockerRacing had previously featured some of McNeile Photography's work on our Instagram page but we had never worked with Rusty before.  We knew he was capable of shooting some amazing pictures and after locking in the details, Rusty and Karissa ordered up one of our tank tops and a pair of the famous ShockerRacingGirls Bootyshorts.  They then enlisted Chris Perez to bring his BMW 535i and Ken Jackson to bring his 2008 VW R32 out for the shoot!

Skylar Baggett for ShockerRacingGirls with a Viper GTS - Photoshoot by Octane EmpireThere is definitely something going on this year.  It seems that almost every time I sit down to put together the next ShockerRacingGirls feature, it just happens to be the latest girls birthday! This time was no different... I began working on Skyler Baggett's feature on Saturday morning.  For those that are unaware of my process for creating these features there is a lot that goes in to each article.  Once I have received the photos from the photographer I then add our ShockerRacing.com watermark, size them properly for the website, then upload them to the site.  After the photos are all set I do my best to learn as much information as possible about Skylar, the photographer Octane Empire, and then gather all of the details about the car we are featuring.  This morning as I sat down to begin writing, I realized that yesterday was Skylar's 23rd birthday! Hopefully releasing her feature today will be the perfect way to end her birthday weekend!

ShockerRacing at Omega Motorsport NoFlyZoneMidwest Spring 2016Our friends at Omega Motorsport brought their Half Mile racing event back to Illinois on April 30th and May 1st.  The event titled NoFlyZoneMidwest was a two day sell out event with much anticipation.  You may remember that we attended NoFlyZoneMidwest in the Fall of 2015 with our C7 Z06 and had eagerly been waiting for this event as the Z had been equipped with some new mods.  Unfortunately, the weather on Saturday did not cooperate this time and based on the forecasts we decided not to bring the C7 Z06.  The crew at Omega did everything in their power to get the event to run on Saturday, including hiring a helicopter to fly over the track and dry it out but with no luck as it continued to rain.  Sunday morning was another gloomy day but the rain had passed and by morning the track surface had begun to dry out.  By race time, the track was ready to go and Sunday turned out to be an amazing day of racing.  We will be posting all of our media from this event here so be sure to keep checking back as we update it with videos and photos!

Megan Lyda with her Custom Wrapped Roush MustangBack in February, Megan Lyda joined the team over at Atlanta Custom Wraps(ACW) and somehow managed to steal the attention away from their 1000+ C7 Z06 Corvette!  In her previous feature, Megan informed us that her dream car is a C7 Z06 but after letting ACW have their way with her 2005 Roush Mustang we had to get her posing in front of her own car.  Ms. Lyda had left her Stang with the team at Atlanta Custom Wraps for a custom wrap and told them to surprise her.  She had no idea what they had planned but when she returned to pick it up she was absolutely amazed!  Meg's jaw dropped to the floor when she first saw this amazing color shifting wrap.
