Emily Johnson Is Napping On The Job

Ok, Emily Johnson didn't really take a nap during this photoshoot but she does look awfully comfortable in the trunk of Erick Sanchez' Nissan 370z! "I nap all the time... I'm a sleepy girl," Emily tells ShockerRacing. Besides sleeping, Emily loves every aspect of the automotive scene. She is a true car girl that owns a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track Edition which she has customized to her tastes to make her import stand out in a crowd. Ms. Johnson spends her days working as a Physician Liaison but enjoys attending events like Hot Import Nights, Slammedenuff, and Stance Nation in her free time.

Emily met photographer David Barnhouse around the Texas car scene and have known each other for a while now but have never done a photoshoot together... until now! Emily met Erick, the 2011 370z owner, at a bar in Austin, Texas while they were both there for the Slammedenuff event. "We've been great friends ever since," says Emily. Erick's Z has an incredible stance thanks to the Moonbeam Widebody Kit, Airlift V2 Management System, and the Heritage 3 Piece Wheels along with a host of custom body pieces (full mods list at the bottom).

The 21 year old Arlington, Texas native tells us that her first car she ever owned was a 2005 Chevy Malibu but her dream car is a 2017 Ford GT! Until Emily can get her hands on a Ford GT, she has been working on modding her 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The first thing you notice when you see her Genesis is the custom Pink Matte Metallic wrap. Then you'll notice that it is sitting on a set of 20" Vossen CV3 wheels. Emily went with a set of Ark Coilovers to get the stance just right, and finished off her mods with a set of custom headlights.

"An ex-boyfriend of mine was very involved in the car scene, and I fell in love with every aspect of the car world," Emily tells us about how she got involved in the scene. Emily's modeling experience consists mainly of car photoshoots and she has worked various vendor booths during car shows and different charity events. She also told us, "I've been in a magazine a couple times but that's been for stuff for my job. It's always an amazing feeling seeing yourself in a magazine!"

SR: Does your Hyundai have a nickname?
Emily: Yep, I call her Niva!

SR: If ShockerRacing was going to pay for any one mod to your Genesis regardless of price, what mod would you choose?
Emily: I would drop a V8 into my car. I believe the Genesis Coupes should have come with a 5.0 option instead of a 3.8L Motor... but that's just me.

SR: If you could travel and take your dream car with you anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Emily: Italy 100%! The scenery and the routes they have for driving just seem like a great time!

SR: I am sure all of the readers are curious... are you single?
Emily: Yep, I sure am!

SR: What would an ex say is your best asset?
Emily: I have a huge heart, I care for anyone and everything. I will go out of my way to help someone that is in need.

SR: What is your biggest pet peeve?
Emily: I have being late!

SR: What is your favorite food?
Emily: Chipotle! No lie, I could eat it every day! Oh and p.s., their queso is horrible!

SR: What's your favorite pizza topping?
Emily: Pineapples and Mushrooms.

SR: Which of the Fast and Furious movies is your fave?
Emily: Furious 7, I cry like a baby every time though!

SR: Are you a Paul Walker or a Vin Diesel kind of girl?
Emily: Paul Walker 100%!

SR: Tell us two fun facts about yourself that people don't already know.
Emily: I am a certified under water scuba diver, I have a huge obsession with skin care and make-up and I would love to be a dermatologist... and a third fact just for fun... I basically am a walking radio station. I am constantly singing songs and I know every genre of music. My style is all over the place but it keeps life interesting.
