ShockerRacing at Omega Motorsport NoFlyZoneMidwest Spring 2016Our friends at Omega Motorsport brought their Half Mile racing event back to Illinois on April 30th and May 1st.  The event titled NoFlyZoneMidwest was a two day sell out event with much anticipation.  You may remember that we attended NoFlyZoneMidwest in the Fall of 2015 with our C7 Z06 and had eagerly been waiting for this event as the Z had been equipped with some new mods.  Unfortunately, the weather on Saturday did not cooperate this time and based on the forecasts we decided not to bring the C7 Z06.  The crew at Omega did everything in their power to get the event to run on Saturday, including hiring a helicopter to fly over the track and dry it out but with no luck as it continued to rain.  Sunday morning was another gloomy day but the rain had passed and by morning the track surface had begun to dry out.  By race time, the track was ready to go and Sunday turned out to be an amazing day of racing.  We will be posting all of our media from this event here so be sure to keep checking back as we update it with videos and photos!

ShockerRacing members Jordan and Adam happen to be brothers.  Jordan drives a bolt on Shelby GT500 and Adam drives an ECS Supercharged C7 Corvette making this next run not only a brothers rivalry but a good old fashioned Chevy vs Ford battle!  Jordan and Adam run Hagg Press and we want to give a big thank you to Hagg Press for sponsoring ShockerRacing and providing our crew with some great vinyl decals for this event!

ShockerRacing Member, Vogz, wasn't able to get his Porsche 996 Turbo completed in time for the event so he brought along his 2011 Audi S4 with a Stage 2 package and running on 104 Octane.  This daily driven Audi was definitely stout running 145 mph in the Half Mile.  Here he is running an Audi S6 with a Stage 1 Package and 100 Octane:
