Katelyn Frosolone with a pair of BMW M3's

Our latest ShockerRacingGirl, Katelyn Frosolone, was supposed to shoot with us back in October of 2016 but an unforeseen circumstance prevented her from being able to attend. Then last month, SR was attending Tuner Galleria and happened to snap some pics of our favorite TG Girls in front of a white wrapped BMW M3 owned by Dominic Colant. Dominic happens to be good friends with Katelyn, and they both contacted SR shortly after Tuner Galleria in hopes of arranging a new shoot with Katelyn and Dom's Supercharged E46 M3. This was perfect timing as we had been working on arranging a photoshoot with one of the founding ShockerRacing members, Brandon Formoso, and his white E92 BMW M3. Behind the camera we arranged for Jonathan Salmi Photography to work his magic, and he found us a great location in downtown Elgin, IL.
In the 12 years that ShockerRacing has been featuring models with cars, this is the first time we have had the opportunity to shoot with an M3. Somehow we lucked out to be able to arrange for two beautiful M's showcasing two different generations. Brandon's 2009 E92 M3 is a lightly modded 6 speed with the beautiful Fox Novello Red interior. The mods include some carbon fiber accents on the mirrors, spoiler, and front lip along with a set of lowering springs. It also features a set of RPI Intake Scoops, AC Schnitzer pedals, Macht Schnell Wheel spacers, and tinted windows. Brandon plans to add a Megan Racing cat back exhaust and swap the wheels out for a new set of ZCP Black Wheels.
You may be asking yourself why Dom's E46 M3 has the bumper missing in some of the photos... Dom had just picked up an ESS VT2-550 Supercharger kit and began installing it the week before the photoshoot. He spent all week working on the install with some friends including some very late nights. Without the help of Zak Kolar and Amjad Khan the E46 would not have able to make the photoshoot. In fact, they were up all night the night before the shoot wrapping things up and ended up throwing the bumper in a Amjad's car to drive to Elgin to meet us for the shoot. For some of the shots, we set the bumper in place to make it look attached but we decided it looked kind of badass to show off the intercooler setup and took some pics without the bumper. Before the supercharger, Dom's M3 featured the following mods; Status Gruppe CSL front bumper, Carbon Fiber front splitters, CSL Carbon Fiber trunk, CSL Carbon Fiber diffuser, Bilstein B16 coilovers, Rogue Engineering camber plates, Rogue Engineering short shift kit, Gruppe M Titanium Exhaust, Euro Catless Headers. He finished up the build with a Meth Injection kit and a tune.
We lucked out to get a bright sun shining day for the shoot, but the weather here was still pretty cool. The cool air and crisp breeze kept 19 year old Katelyn looking for warmth in between shots but she was a trooper and stuck it out. The 5'5" tall Chicago native created some fire and made it look like it was 90 degrees outside. Katelyn grew up helping her dad build his Chevelle SS in the garage. The passion for cars and the car scene has been in her since she was very young, and now she enjoys going to car shows and automotive events with her friends. We asked her what her dream car is, and she informed us that she would love a Supercharged 2008 SRT8 Jeep or a 1999 Trans Am with an LS7 Swap. "If I could travel and take one of my dream cars anywhere in the world, I would head straight to Miami," Katelyn tells us.
