Michaela Hinostroza Gets Minty

When 22 year old Michaela Hinostroza first showed up on our radar, she instantly grabbed our attention with some amazing shots by her husband Miguel at Miguel Angel Photography. What first stood out in the photos were the brilliant pops of color. Michaela's bright orange thong seemed to glow and match the brightness and coloring of the Utah sunset. Since that shoot Mrs. Hinostroza and Miguel Angel Photography have continued to impress with their unique style of photography and this latest shoot for ShockerRacing is no different. For most of these shots they used their Tiffany Blue Dipped 2006 Pontiac GTO but also switched it up with some Muscle Cars and even a new Viper!

This couple from Moab, Utah take advantage of the local parks and scenery for most of their shoots. Located near Canyonlands and Arches National Park they can take advantage of the gorgeous backdrops as the seasons change.

The Minty looking GTO has been plasti-dipped to a unique shade of blue that almost looks sea foam green in certain lighting. It has a new LS2 motor in it with a set of Pace Setter Long Tube Headers, Super 44 Mufflers, along with high flow cats. Miguel replaced the driveshaft with a DSS one piece driveshaft, added a K&N Cold Air Intake, and a Diablosport Tuner. The front and rear brakes have been upgraded to Baer rotors and the rear suspension was switched up to a set of QA1 adjustable shocks with drag bags. Miguel also added a set of staggered NZO Wheels.

But this is a divided household... Michaela drives a 2014 Ford Mustang GT with the Track Package. The Stang is Deep Impact Blue and she has added a Shelby GT500 Spoiler and a set of lowering springs to give the car a more aggressive look. Michaela tells us, "technically Miguel drives both cars, but I am the Ford girl for sure!" Having an LS powered car and a Mustang is more like the best of both worlds than to consider it a divided household! We asked what mod Michaela would choose for the Stang, "If ShockerRacing was paying... probably a supercharger!"

SR: What was the first car you ever owned?
Michaela: It was an old ugly Mercury Sable!

SR: What is your dream car?
Michaela: The Mustang I have right now!

SR: If you could take your Mustang and travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Michaela: I think I would go to Paris, I have always wanted to go there.

SR: How did you get involved in the car scene?
Michaela: My daddy's a mechanic so I grew up around cars. I was lucky enough to find a husband who loves cars just as much as I do!

SR: What got you interested in ShockerRacing?
Michaela: I love cars and modeling with them, so ShockerRacing was the perfect fit!

SR: Do you have any previous modeling experience?
Michaela: Honestly, I just kind of started taking pictures with my husbands car and it went from there. We just do our own pictures together so far. The very first picture we ever took was in the snow, middle of winter. It was freezing but that's what got me here today.

SR: What was your favorite part of this shoot?
Michaela: My favorite part was just having fun with my husband and we didn't think anything would come of it honestly. It was kind of a random decision to go out and take some pictures with his car and we decided to share them... it just took off from there.

SR: Which of the Fast and Furious movies is your favorite?
Michaela: The first two movies are my faves.

SR: Are you a Paul Walker or a Vin Diesel kind of girl?
Michaela: That is a hard one... probably Paul Walker.

SR: What's your favorite food?
Michaela: Pizza, duh!

SR: What's your favorite pizza topping?
Michaela: Jalapeno's and black olives.
