"I'm not a model... just a girl with a dope ass truck!" was Natasha Tyrrell's response to ShockerRacing when we asked her about her modeling experience.  The 2006 Jeep SRT8 Grand Cherokee you see her posing with is the truck she is referring to.  Miss Natasha loaded her board into her Jeep and met up with photographer, Alyssa McGrath, at an old psychiatric hospital in Long Island for our latest ShockerRacingGirls feature.

Not many people can claim that their family owned a drag strip when they were growing up.  For Krysten Brents, this is a reality.  Krysten's grandmother used to take her brother and her to the family’s drag strip in Arkansas to visit her cousins.  Growing up around the track fueled her passion for cars and her eventual need for speed.  Mrs. Brents tell ShockerRacing, “I was always around the drag strip and came to like the thought of driving fast and or racing someone to see who was faster.”

Since placing my order for a 2016 Porsche Cayman 981 back in March, I have been dreaming of how I would begin the customization process.  I already knew that tinting the windows would be one of the first mods completed as they always enhance the appearance of almost any car and are relatively inexpensive. I have always been known to be a little flashy with my cars, and I really like them to stand out in a crowd.  With vinyl wrapping being all of the rage these days, I have been tossing around all sorts of ideas including everything from just wrapping the roof to completely wrapping the hood, roof, and rear decklid.  At some point over the last few months, I came up with the idea of leaving a driver stripe down the entire top of the car.

Anytime Shelby Wolf gets together with her friends we know we are in for a real treat! Last month, Shelby and good friend, Twyla Dellinger, packed up a 2008 Mustang and headed from Arkansas to Texas.  Their final destination was Gas Monkey Live in Dallas for the Texas Mustang Invasion.  Besides taking in all of the gorgeous Mustangs at the event they had plans to meet up with photographer Josh Bishop and finally get Twyla a proper photoshoot for ShockerRacing.com!

Imagine walking into science class on your first day of junior high school.  The first thing you notice is a corner of the classroom filled with pictures and trophies of a 2010 Magnuson Supercharged Camaro SS.  As you are checking out the fifth generation Camaro, in walks a 5'6" tall beauty with long brown hair.  Kristen, aka Mrs. B, begins class by mentioning that the "Camaro Corner" in her room features her car.  Mrs. B then says "I like to use my car for examples when teaching certain topics."  In that moment, you already know this is going to be the greatest class you will ever have...

Elizabeth Marcum, met up with Chromalusion Photography, our resident photographer, at Mustang Week 2015 for what turned out to be yet another amazing photoshoot.  Ms. Marcum brought her 2010 Ford Mustang, aka @WinterSoldier92, along with her for the shoot.  She tells us her parents surprised her with Winter Soldier in June of 2013 when she returned from a vacation in California.  At the airport, parked next to her parents car was this white V6 Premium model Mustang.  Her parents asked her, "So how do you like this Mustang?"  Elizabeth didn't pay too much attention because she was just ready to be home after a long flight, until she noticed the Mustang keys in her dads hand.  "Is it mine?" she asked, as she began crying for the next five minutes.  Elizabeth finally calmed down and grabbed the keys to get into it and check it out.  "It was pure joy" she tells us, it was just what she had wanted and to this day she says it is perfect.

Meet Alex Owen, a Penn State University student hailing from "the real Jersey shore" aka Monmouth Beach, NJ.  This 5'10" tall 21 year old is also a super friendly Mustang lover so if you happen to spot Alex out at Mustang Week, American Muscle or any other car show be sure to say hi... She'll be the brunette towering over you at over 6 foot tall in a pair of heels.  When she isn't playing with cars or attending classes, Alex spends her summers stirring up attention in lumber yards when she shows up in work boots and booty shorts as a construction foreman for her family business.  She is working on her Bachelor's degree in fine arts and plans to continue to manage the construction company.

For her ShockerRacingGirls feature, Alex grabbed her SR bootyshorts and met up with Alan Esposito and his 2011 Ford Mustang GT.

In the middle of September 2015, Omega Motorsport brought their first half mile racing event to the midwest.  This event was held at the Rantoul Airport just north of University of Illinois in Champaign, IL.  Omega rented out the airport for the weekend in order to use one of the runways for side by side half mile racing.  Many people have raced their cars in side by side quarter mile races but the newly popular half mile events allow the 500 plus horsepower streetcars to open up and see what they can really do in the top end.  Jon, one of the ShockerRacing Members, brought his 650 wheel horsepower C5 Z06 Corvette out to see what she could do and thanks to Mike at The Chicago Garage we were able to bring out the stock C7 Z06 Corvette to test her out.

Meet Kassie Harner, 21, a 5 foot 2 inch tall Mustang enthusiast from Chattanooga, TN.  Kassie recently teamed up with Joshua Bates and Lauren Tubbs for a pair of photoshoots.  Ms. Harner busted out her ShockerRacing bootyshorts and they used Joshua's 2009 Mustang 4.0 for both shoots.  Kassie grew up around Mustangs, when we asked if her dad had Mustangs when she was growing up she said "Yes! My whole family did.  Both of my aunts and even my grandmother had Stangs.  My grandmother still currently has 2 Mustangs."  She recently shared a photo on her Instagram account as a young girl heading to school with her lunchbox, backpack and of course a Fox Body Mustang!

Our long time friend, Stephani at Chromalusion Photography, was lucky enough to make it out to Mustang Week 2015.  If you have never attended Mustang Week it is one of the largest gatherings of Stangs in the United States and takes place yearly at Myrtle Beach.  This, of course, meant that ShockerRacing was lucky enough to get some more amazing pics with a beautiful model.  Stephani convinced her good friend, Brittany Crisp, to step in front of the camera for the first time and we are glad she did! Brittany tells us that she had zero modeling experience before this shoot and that at first she was terrified. Stephani helped her feel more comfortable and in the end Brittany had a blast.  The Mustang that Stephani and Brittany were lucky enough to work with is a 2013 Mustang owned by Jonathan Adkins.
